I had the fortune of shooting with photographer Quentin Guillory of www.GuilloryPhotoArt.com and Make Up artist J. Gunner recently, and during our photoshoot I was able to incorporate some of my own stylng!

These two make an amazing team, and I am proud to be able to share these amazing images with you! We had finished with make up and were ready to shoot, but the stylist was still on her way. So we made the most of it and I had a dress I had just bought on YESSTYLE.com from designer YouToo that make for a perfect fit to our day. This dress is so soft and feminine- it makes you just want to leap and twirl, ha ha.(You’ll recognize my shoes from a previous post as well, I’m getting more use out of them than I expected!)

Quentin and Jennifer are incredible to work with- not to mention absolutely fun. They have such a great energy that is contagious, yet their professionalism is also spectacular.  A great combination for a great duo!

As for the dress, mesh is very much in- your seeing it in all styles from the rockstar bold attitude looks to the dainty delicate soft toned looks like you see here. There is so much potential, and the texture of this material is simply a dream. I had fun by pairing the delicate nature of this dress with the rather attitude grunge of the black mesh in my shoes. The beige tone of the shoes bring it together with the dress for a fun look. Mesh is everywhere- and the funny thing is (at least for me) I don’t even realize it until later. I’ll be wearing something with a cool texture on it and then I stop to think and realize that there it is again- mesh!

It’s sheer, it’s interesting- it has personality. Have you found mesh creeping into your wardrobe? I know I have and I love it.

I had the fortune of doing a shoot with the *amazing* Nicholas Gordon of Styx Photography “SP” and create a series of stop motion short films. It just so happens I am wearing my favorite new jumpsuit, so you can really see it in motion!

As a dress and heels kinda lady you will rarely see me in pants, but lately I’ve fallen for the jumpsuit. Not just any jumpsuit of course… style and form are still important. But what I do like is the strapless jumpsuit design- fitted on top, loose and flowy on the pants portion then tight again at the knee to create a nice little balloon.

Next? Add prints! You can never go wrong with the classic black.. but a print changes it completely. It is fun, interesting, and unique. This one hear is a lace print (black and white is still a classic) from designer ZOO of yesstyle.com.

I have my eyes on some other prints, including floral and even zebra. Hint- do a search for “jumpsuit” and see how many different styles come up. There is truly something for every personality. I love it. It is comfortable and with the print, so chic.

I’ve had  a lot of fun working with these teams! A lot of talent and all around great people- truly. I am grateful to have worked with them and hope to do more in the future. If and when, I will let you know and update you with more photos, too.

I have a fashion show tonight and then another shoot coming up this weekend. It has been a busy month, loves! But I wouldn’t have it any other way.

For those who follow the blog, did you notice my shoes in these shoots? (Some clever eyes will spot several items I’ve shared on the blog before.) Whenever the shoes are not provided, as was the case with these, I wear my own- yep! And in all these shoots they just so happen to be from yesstyle.com. Ha, love it. I’ve blogged about all of these shoes in the past and it is pretty cool to see them in action here. I thought some of my readers would appreciate it, too! It seems every shoot or fashion show I do, everyone always asks me where I get my shoes. So there you go, now you know.

I try to get as many colors as I can in various styles of heels so I am prepared and coordinated for any photoshoot or runway show. As a model you must be prepared. The more options you have the easier it is on the designer or stylist.The more colors and styles you have the more opportunities you also have to really stretch out your wardrobe, too.

Photoshoots give us a lot of room for inspiration in our daily wear. Runway shows may sometimes be unrealistic in their designs, hair, and make up, but the inspiration leads us to our own new styles. Funny thing is it turns out I incorporate my YES STYLE fashion with a lot of my designer looks in my day to day fashion. More so than maybe I sometimes realize. Vintage finds from antique stores or items left to me by my mother are other favorites of mine to mix and match within my wardrobe. Sometimes there is something special about the unknown brands or items. You forget the price and just focus on how you feel.

And what makes things fabulous is how you wear them and just how they make you feel. You have to be confident and comfortable to really own a look. Best make it your own look and truly rock it!

Yesterday morning I had the pleasure of modeling a dress for LA designer, Dalia Macphee. Beyond having such talent and a creative eye, she is wonderful and an absolute sweetheart. You can really see her passion in her work and in her presence.

Looking through her portfolio, it is easy to quickly fall in love with her designs. What I didn’t know was how amazing a price point she offers for these incredible styles. Watch the interview to find out more. I know I’ll be stopping by the department store and picking up a dress from her for my next special event. Colors, texture, and beautiful lines- everything I know I look for in a design, and now with a price without guilt. Even Hollywood actresses agree! These truly are red carpet designs.

When I was first introduced to Dustin through facebook, I knew he was a cool guy. I knew this because he promised not to clutter my wall with quizzes or requests for me to “become a fan of bacon” (after all isn’t it understood, kinda like butter?) and had been following the blog.

Then, when you see his art you realize he is a cool guy with a lot of talent.

My latest obsession with boots, lace, and bows comes from my interest (and now inspiration) in thigh high boots. Buckles, lace, ribbon, lace, and leather- I’m all in for it! I love a stylish dream come to life.

For instance, look at the boots at the beginning of this entry. A wow-factor up and beyond; I love it. These boots are from FOXCiTY and are available on yesstyle.com. And so lately I’ve been exploring other options for my thigh high boot needs, such as a pair of stylish leggings paired with a unique strappy boot like I did here. But right now my latest obsession is with lace. Everywhere, anyway I can wear it. I’ll show you more examples soon of what I mean by everywhere, right now I can show you the one I’ve been wearing the most: lace tights.

I adore what tights do for an outfit, not to mention the shoes. With a great pattern like this, an outfit takes on a whole new feel. Something that thigh high boots bring to style is texture, and with lace you get that in an instant.

These tights in particular have a nice floral pattern that I think mixes in nicely, keeping it feminine but definitely very bold.

From the lace of a pair of boots, the ribbon wrapping them, to the many options of lace- I am enjoying this fashion season!

Last night was an amazing night with a style show fit for the circus! Stylists from Visible Changes competed in a circus themed hair fashion show for awards and lovely prizes. Everything was to be completed by each team on their own- from concept, application, styling, makeup, and even costume. Over 100 teams were competing and the competition was intense.

My team of stylists, Mel and Bel, are absolutely amazing. They began working on this project far in advance, looking over all the details until the results met their goals completely. They even brought the sewing kit out to design a unique and pretty costume to compliment the hair for a complete and vivid look.

Texture, color, and incredible talent with imagination combined to get them to third place last night. I was honored to be a part of the team and rock the fantastic look they gave me. The circus character I portrayed was of a tight rope balancing girl, complete with rope all throughout my hair. Love it!
